My quote of the day and I know I say it, but not sure who it came from but here it goes, "be empowered by your circumstance." One of my best friends tells me to "Win the Day" every day and I think it goes directly with being empowered by your own circumstance.
So I decided today is a new day just like every day and see how much I can actually accomplish as a single mom. Below is a picture of my daughter Kennedy.

With two sick kids my day began at 3:30 am. I know super early, but what do you expect with sick kids...Luckily my nanny spent the night last night so I could go into work earlier then normal and get things done as I was the Manager of our entire property today. Which I don't mind because its fun for me to be in charge of not just the sales team but the entire hotel.
So I left for work after completely laundry at was in the office by 5:45 am. Way earlier then my normal 9 am time slot. But I am glad I came in as one of our employees slept in so I had to relieve our night shift person so he could go get some rest.
Then on to accomplish my daily tasks, sales meetings etc.
Tonight will be great with my kids I am making them dinner, then having a kid day where they pretty much tell me what they want to do and mom can't complain or say no as long as it doesn't cost more then $5.00.
So today I am empowered to make decisions, move in the right direction and be the best mom I can to my two amazing kids.
I think my parents spoiled me when I was a kid, I would've spent $5 in seconds.
ReplyDeleteEvery other week my wife works so sometimes I get a small glimpse of the single parent's life. I have nothing but respect for people that make it work and do all they can to help their kids.
ReplyDeleteYou are a super-mom! Very touching... This article makes me want to call my mom and say "thank you."
ReplyDeleteWin the Day, I like that.
ReplyDeleteI really like the quotes you used. I have always used the one "live each day like it's your last, because someday it will be."
