Moving is so fun...NOT!

So I decided moving is not the most amazing thing to do. In fact it pretty much is not fun at all.

Yesterday while packing up some boxes I noticed after about 10 minutes my kids were not in the same room as me. So I ran to my daughters room only to find her and my son in a box and all the items in the box were all over the floor.

You can only imagine the frustration I must of felt as my kids were unpacking basically what I had just packed. So what can you do? I laughed because what else can you do?

Even though packing is not fun, and the life is a bit insane and crazy it will be a good experience to move on and into our new home with my kids and get ready to start our new life.

Moving Day is Approaching

It is amazing how much crap you can accumulate in 8 years of living in the same home!

As I am beginning the packing phase, since I am moving on Nov. 19th to a new home; I am learning we have alot of stuff.

It is a bitter sweet time for me I have also decided since this is the final phase of me realizing I am really divorced.

My ex-husband and I built the home together we have lived in the past 8 years, and it is so surreal to be walking away from the home we built with the intent of never leaving. So needless to say I am very emotional on some days by knowing I am moving to a new to me home, with two kids and we don't know anyone whereas we are moving from a neighborhood that I love, and don't want to leave. But I need to be strong in hopes my children will adjust to their new home, and new life without their dad.

For now I have lots to do with packing each room in my home, and getting rid of lots of stuff too since my current home is almost 3700 sq. ft and my new house is almost 2000 sq ft. So elimination of items is in store! But also sometimes hard to do with all the centiments and items that bring back so many great memories of how my life once was.

Omaha land of almost nothing to do...

This week I was working in Omaha, Nebraska for work. Can I say Omaha is a land of almost nothing to do. If you don't enjoy bars, or night clubs which I don't as I don't drink, then there is not much to do.

I even asked some locals other then college sports what is there to do...there response was nothing, but we have a mall. Needless to say each night after my meetings I went shopping and definitely spent more then I should of, but had a nice time to myself. I also took a tour at a Pioneer place where the pioneers stopped in Omaha. Below is the picture.

Packing for Omaha was interesting as this was my first trip since I have been divorced so not only did I have to pack for myself for a week, I also had to pack up for my two little kids for their adventure week at grandmas. Interesting to say the least!

It was difficult to pack for all three of us at midnight the night before I left because I am a procrastinator. Luckily I didn't forget anything for all of us and the week went really smoothly.
